Here's a quick tip on how to put footnotes in parentheses in Word.
First, you need to write the text with the footnotes. The footnotes should be inserted as usual. At the end, the parentheses will be added using the following steps:
Start Word's "Find and Replace" function by pressing Ctrl + H. Then search for ^f
(make sure to enter a lowercase "f"). In the Replace field, insert [^&]
for square brackets or (^&)
for round brackets.
Now, perform the replacement, and all footnotes will be enclosed in parentheses.
